Induction Programme 2019 in CGC Jhanjeri
A huge majority of newly admitted students attend the function
With a view to have a smooth Orientation of new students in the campus, Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Jhanjeri organized an Induction Program for the students of all the courses. Almost all the students admitted so far, attended this function. A large number of parents also accompanied their wards.
Speaking on the occasion S.Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor Chandigarh University cum Chairman CGC, informed the students that apart from about 625 companies having visited CGC for recruitment of our students last year, a large number of new companies offering a package of upto Rs. 50 LPA are likely to come during the coming session. He advised the students that in order to get maximum return on the money being invested by their parents, they should attend 100% lectures and for getting a real good placement, they should work for at least 10-12 hours per day. S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that the management of CGC is committed to provide comfortable stay to its students. He advised them to work hard so that they secure good marks in PTU exams and get the jobs of their choice.
The Dean Academics of CGC Jhanjeri gave a presentation regarding available facilities & main rules of the college. The Deputy Director (Placements) said that all the students of CGC are given a thorough training on Aptitude Test, Group Discussion & Technical/ HR interview of the students. He informed the new students that they will get placement opportunities in abundance but it was upto them that they get selected in which company. He gave them various tips to prepare right from day one for getting selected in top ranking companies. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General said that a Student Care Centre had been started in the campus so that all problems of the students could be solved under one roof.
The parents & the newly admitted students expressed great satisfaction with the facilities provided in CGC Jhanjeri. They said that they & their wards are lucky to have got admissions in this college.
