All candidates who have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, are eligible for admission, subject to the following conditions:
- D. Pharm holders admitted directly to the 2nd year of B. Pharmacy must pass the subjects from the 1st year of B. Pharmacy that were not covered in their D. Pharm curriculum.
- At any given time, the total admissions in the 2nd year of B. Pharmacy should not exceed the sanctioned intake of the 1st year of B. Pharmacy + 10% of the sanctioned intake of the 1st year
- The vacant seats of the 1st year of B. Pharmacy, which are filled in the 2nd year, should only be those that remained vacant in the 1st year and not those created due to student failures, lack of attendance, or ineligibility to appear for examinations.
