On the 26th of June 2023, Chandigarh Group of Colleges observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a profound event organized by NSS and NCC volunteers. The campus served as a platform for fostering awareness about the perils of drug abuse. The day began with a solemn ceremony, during which NSS and NCC volunteers, clad in their uniforms, organized a series of activities. In a powerful moment, the volunteers collectively took a pledge against drug abuse, emphasizing their commitment to a drug-free life and encouraging their peers and the community to do the same. This pledge became a poignant symbol of the college's dedication to combating the global issue of drug abuse. The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at CGC marked a significant milestone in promoting awareness and fostering a collective commitment against the challenges posed by illicit substances.

On World Heart Day, CGC (Chandigarh Group of Colleges) orchestrated a remarkable event in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), and the Red Ribbon Club, alongside the prestigious PGI Hospital in Chandigarh. The event was a resounding success as a total of 200 individuals selflessly volunteered to donate their blood. This collective effort made a significant impact on the local community by helping those in need and spreading awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health.

The collaboration between CGC and PGI Hospital highlighted the commitment to the well-being of the community, reinforcing the principle that healthy hearts lead to a healthier society. The event not only celebrated World Heart Day but also served as a shining example of how educational institutions and healthcare providers can join hands to make a positive difference in the lives of many. On January 24th, the Chandigarh Group of Colleges-Jhanjeri, in collaboration with the NSS wing, orchestrated a significant donation event in the villages of Jhanjeri and MachliKalan. The primary objective was to address the pressing issue of menstrual hygiene in government schools by donating sanitary pad vending machines. The event began with a warm welcome to participants, featuring informative sessions on menstrual health to raise awareness. A practical demonstration followed, ensuring that the recipients were well-versed in the proper usage and maintenance of the vending machines.The response from local communities was overwhelmingly positive, with expressions of gratitude from both students and school staff. Beyond the immediate provision of sanitary pads, the initiative aimed to destigmatize discussions around menstrual health, fostering an environment where open conversations are encouraged. This collaborative effort between the Department of Student Welfare and the NSS wing exemplifies the institution's commitment to social responsibility.The event not only delivered a tangible benefit to the schools in Jhanjeri and MachliKalan but also showcased the positive impact achievable through collective efforts and empathy. On February 27, 2024, the NSS wing of Chandigarh Group of College-Jhanjeri, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Business (CSB), orchestrated a commendable Eye Checkup Camp at Machli Village. The event aimed to address the healthcare needs of the local community, drawing participation from over 70-80 villagers. The camp provided a crucial platform for the villagers to avail themselves of free eye checkups and complimentary medicines. This initiative, underscored by the spirit of service and community welfare, was met with enthusiastic response and appreciation from the attendees. The collaboration between the NSS wing and CSB not only underscored the college's commitment to social responsibility but also facilitated a tangible and positive impact on the health and well-being of the villagers. The success of this event reflects the dedication of the college community to extend its outreach and make a meaningful contribution to the broader society.

On October 30, 2023, Chandigarh Group of College's Department of Student Welfare, in collaboration with the NSS and NCC clubs, orchestrated a refreshing Yoga Camp as part of the "FIT India" campaign. The event brought together around 50 eager students who embraced the serene morning with open arms. A professional yoga instructor guided the participants through a rejuvenating session of yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation. The camp not only enriched the physical and mental well-being of the students but also fostered a sense of unity and fitness consciousness within the college community. Amidst the tranquil campus surroundings, this event exemplified the college's dedication to holistic education and overall wellness, leaving participants invigorated and inspired to make fitness an integral part of their lives.

On 31st May, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, in collaboration with the Department of Student Welfare and Chandigarh College of Engineering, organized an awareness session to mark International No Tobacco Day. This event was held in partnership with IVY Hospital and featured a keynote session by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, an expert in Radiation Oncology, who delivered an insightful talk on the dangers of tobacco use and the importance of quitting smoking. The event also saw active participation from the NSS and NCC wings, which organized a rally to advocate against tobacco consumption and raise awareness in the community. The combined efforts of these institutions and organizations highlighted the significant health risks associated with tobacco and emphasized the need for a tobacco-free lifestyle.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Jhanjeri, in collaboration with the Department of Student Affairs and the NSS wing, successfully organized a free medical kits distribution event on June 15, 2024. This initiative, conducted in association with Mjaat Police, aimed to promote road safety and provide essential first-aid supplies to car drivers. NSS volunteers actively participated in the event, distributing the kits to drivers and educating them on the importance of having a medical kit in their vehicles. The event was well-received, highlighting the collective effort of the college and local authorities in enhancing community safety and awareness on National Road Safety Day.

On June 21st, CGC Jhanjeri celebrated International Yoga Day with an event organized by the Department of Student Welfare, NSS Wing, NCC Wing, Art of Living, and Red Ribbon Club, in collaboration with two NGOs, Nya Sawera and Work It. The event, held at the CGC Jhanjeri campus, commenced at 7 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike. The day was marked by a series of yoga sessions aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being, emphasizing the importance of yoga in daily life. The collaborative effort highlighted the institution's commitment to holistic health and community engagement, making the event a resounding success.
