Celebrating World Pharmacists Day at CGC Jhanjeri
CGC Jhanjeri's Chandigarh Pharmacy College proudly celebrated “World Pharmacists Day,” embracing the theme “Pharmacist: Meeting Global Health Needs,” as designated by the International Federation of Pharmacy.
The event featured Dr. Sharanjit Singh, Ex-Director of NIPER, as the Chief Guest, who provided valuable insights to aspiring pharmacists on advancing in their careers. Students were enlightened on crucial topics such as pharmaceuticals, cellular-gene therapies, medical devices, surgery, psychological and behavioral interventions, and complementary and alternative therapies. Dr. Singh also discussed emerging opportunities within the pharmacy sector.
A key highlight was the Inter Institute Formulation Competition, where undergraduate students showcased their innovative ideas through novel pharmaceutical formulations. The event also included a poster-making competition and a vibrant Rangoli contest, all centered around the theme.
Dr. Sharanjit Singh praised the enthusiasm displayed by the students, motivating them to pursue excellence in their future endeavors. Reflecting on this event, our management, under the guidance of our Honourable Managing Director Mr. Arsh Dhaliwal, aims to inspire creativity and innovation within the pharmacy field, preparing students to meet the evolving global health needs.
CGC Jhanjeri is committed to nurturing the next generation of pharmacists, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in the industry.
