Chandigarh Law College Hosts International Conference on Cyber Threats

In a significant step toward addressing the pressing legal challenges posed by cyber threats, Chandigarh Law College, under the esteemed Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri, recently hosted its highly anticipated International Conference on "Cyber Threats: Navigating Legal Challenges in the Digital Age." This prestigious conference convened global experts, legal luminaries, and academics to deliberate on the evolving landscape of cyber law, shedding light on critical issues shaping our digital future and advancing the institution’s mission of preparing globally aware legal professionals.

The inaugural session commenced with an atmosphere of scholarly enthusiasm, where distinguished guests and participants were warmly welcomed to embark on this pivotal journey of knowledge-sharing and legal exploration. The occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Hon’ble Justice Rakesh Kumar Garg, former Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Chairman of the NRI Commission of Punjab, whose insightful address underscored the gravity of safeguarding justice in the digital era. Joining him was the distinguished Keynote Speaker, Dr. Sagee Geetha Sethu, Head of Law and Program Leader at Amity Law School UAE, Dubai, who shared an inspiring vision on the international challenges posed by cyber threats. The panel discussion was graced by the panel of distinguished experts of Cyber Law Justice Talwant Singh, former judge, Delhi High Court, Ms Neeraja Vorovurru, Additional Director General of Police, Cyber Branch, Punjab and Advocate Prianshu Kamra, Punjab and Haryana High Court. The valedictory session was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Justice Harkesh Manuja , Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court. Justice Manuja has thrown the light on cyber threats and its safeguarding measures. He motivated students to aspire the career in law as there are numerous scope in this field . 

Adding to the conference's distinguished presence were Dr. Vinay Kumar Goyal, Executive Director of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Prof. (Dr.) Rakhi Singh Chauhan, Director of Chandigarh Law College, CGC-J, and Prof. (Dr.) Namita Vyas Joshi, Dean of Chandigarh Law College, CGC-J, all of whom were instrumental in shaping the event's success. The two-day conference concluded on a high note, with a final Panel Discussion and Valedictory Session, summarizing the insights shared and paving the way forward.
